  
 The Phatman's incredible tube tone makes for a pedal that is good at every setting. The controls are subtle, which is why we've only shown three positions on each knob - you have to give them a good twist to hear a big change in the sound. The narrow sonic sweep of the knobs gives tone freaks the rare opportunity to paint with subtler shades than you can find in your typical distortion box. The solid sound is matched by the construction as well: tough enough to withstand a solid stomping while shielding the glowing tubes from any outside shocks. Like many other all-tube designs, this box works differently with every amp, guitar, and playing style.
