This RCA 5814A tube has a triple mica, "D" getter, copper grid posts, and grey-plate construction. Made in the 1960's. They have great soundstage and body. They are warm but well balanced. The RCA 5814A tube should be considered for any 12AU7 based hi-fi preamp. They appear to be the identical construction as early 1950's JG-5814 tubes from GE. We're guessing RCA acquired these from GE sometime in the late '50's and then rebranded them as RCA tubes. They even have the classic GE etching of the part number in the glass.
