YJ20D Yellow Jackets - Straight Duet

Yellow Jackets plug into the power tube socket of your amp and replace the power tube you are using with an EL84. They turn "Class AB" 6V6 amps into a "Class A" circuit, and can be used as long as the plate voltage is under 520 volts. As THD says, this covers 98% of guitar amps in use. They can also be used in home audio equipment.

The "YJ20" model of Yellow Jacket does not reduce the amp's power, it only switches it to Class A. The YJ20 will only replace 6V6 types without modification or rebiasing. These should not be used in amps designed for EL34, 6L6, 6550, or KT88 tubes. Instead, use the YJSD version for these amps. The EL84 tubes are included.
