Yellow Jackets plug into the power tube socket of your amp and replace the power tube you are using with an EL84. They turn "Class AB" amps into a "Class A" circuit, and can be used as long as the plate voltage is under 520 volts. As THD says, this covers 98% of guitar amps in use. They can also be used in home audio equipment. The "YJS" model of Yellow Jacket also reduces the amplifier's power by 50% to 70%. They can be used to replace 6V6, EL34, 6L6 and 6550 tube types without modification or rebiasing. In amps with four power tubes, you can replace two of the tubes with Yellow Jackets for a partial power reduction. The EL84 tubes are included.
