The newest production of hand-painted Fuzz Factories include a DC power jack and on/off LED indicator. The Fuzz Factory has five knobs and uses two germanium transistors from yesteryear to create its vintage sound. Like all ZVex effects, it's hand assembled, lovingly hand painted, and somewhat mysterious. The five controls are Volume, Gate, Compress, Drive, and Stability. It is possible to create completely annoying and unusable squeals, but that's a necessary hurdle in a pedal that lets you poke all the possible parameters of a fuzzbox while you find your own personalized fuzz. The owner's manual has a bunch of good example settings to start you off. Specifications: Uses 1 9V battery. A DC power jack (standard Boss configuration with center negative) is provided on the side of the pedal.
